I found the takeaway menu for La Fishita in the house tonight and suddenly really fancied fish & chips with mushy peas and tartar sauce. I thought we´d get a takeaway. Seemed really cheap but when we got there, my dear OH wanted to sit in.
Initially the set up is a bit weird as the entrance is at the side and there was noone in there. After finally being able to open the door, a lady was there to take care of us straight away. Its really set up for open air eating in the summer months I think. When you get there you will see what Im talking about, but it is very nice inside.
Menu, fish & chips, burgers, fish cakes, pies...the lot. Kids meals to for about 5€ and they gave colouring pencils which always get a bonus mark!
We had 2 Cod & Chips, mushy peas, water & beer. I shared my cod & chips with my daughter and it was absolutely adequate. It was all really good. Fish was delicious, tasty, white flaky fish coated in a delicious batter which didn´t feel like your normal greasy batter.
Kids Meals are 5.75€ for Cod, Steak Burger, Scampi or Sausage served with Chips and drink which is very good value.

Bill was about 29€. Obviously, quite a bit more than if we were to have a takeaway, but 2 adults and 8 year old girl all nicely full.
Will we go back? Most definitely and will certainly be getting takeaways!

I am most interested to hear of fish and chip restaurantes, but may I say any review of one must include a comment on the CHIPS not just the fish and the price. So many so called chippies seem to have no idea how to make chips that are crispy and dry; it is a science not an art.

The chips were good. But you are right. Not many people know how to make good chips. I don't think people have much patience, they take time and noone every cooks them for long enough.
Just had takeaway from La Fishita. Not had takeaway before so was unsure of the size of portions. For 2 adults and 8 year old child..I decided to get 2 full size cod and 2 full size chips. Mushy Peas and my daughter is addicted to pickled onions. Total was about 22€uros.
It was just the right amount. All completely full and if there was more left over, I would be feeling really sick now. So perfect amount for the 3 of us.
It was very tasty!
Where is La Fishita? How does it compare to Pegotties (sp?) ?
La Fishita is opposite the Andalucia Plaza Hotel. Its good fish & chips. I personally prefer it to Pegottys but everyone has differently tastes.
TIP: Getting Take Away...make sure you drive with windows open...my car still stinks of F&C nearly 2 weeks after!
